Once the dentist is satisfied with the amount of enamel removed, an impression of the teeth will be made for the dental laboratory.

While the lab is making a permanent bridge, the dentist will put a temporary bridge in its place to protect vulnerable teeth and gums. At the second visit, the temporary bridge is removed and the permanent bridge is adjusted for proper fit. The permanent bridge may be temporarily adhered in place, for a few weeks, to ensure proper fitting.
